25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Ashley Calderon conducted an unannounced annual random inspection at the above facility on 11/07/2024 at 10:46AM. LPA met with Michelle David, Licensee who guided analysts on a tour of the facility.
There were a total of 7 children at the time of visit, 3 whom were infants. Present adult at the home was Licensee and a Volunteer.
Facility capacity is in compliance for a Large Family Child Care Home. Hours of operation are Mon-Fri 6:30 AM - 6:00PM. This is a two-story home which consists of 4 bedrooms, 3 bathroom, (2) daycare room(s), kitchen, living room, garage, front and backyard. Children use: (2) Daycare Rooms, bathroom located downstairs and front yard. Off limit areas: All of upstairs, kitchen, living room, (1) bedroom downstairs, backyard, and garage.
All areas identified on the facility sketch that are accessible for children to use were inspected for safety, comfort, and cleanliness. The following was observed and reviewed during this inspection: LPA reviewed required posted documentation for Facility License, Publication (PUB) 394- Notification of Parent Rights and Licensing Form (LIC) 9148- Earthquake Preparedness form. Facility records were reviewed for LIC 9040- Facility Roster, LIC 610- Facility Disaster Plan and Disaster drill log, last drill conducted on 09/09/2024. Per licensee, conducts per personal preference drill every month. Smoke and carbon monoxide detectors were tested and are operable. Fire extinguisher was observed to be fully charged with proof of purchase dated 1/10/24. LPA observed central heating and A/C for ventilation. Stair way has a baby safety gate in place. Fireplace is not operable, it was observed to be converted into a storage space for day care learning materials.
