25 | On December 30, 2024, at 9:00AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Dayna Chambers conducted a Capacity Increase and full annual inspection. The home is currently licensed for a small family home. LPA met with Licensee, Mykeva Fields. LPA disclosed the purpose of the inspection and was granted entry into the facility by the licensee. LPA observed 3 children during inspection upon arrival (2 children were licensee’s). Per Licensee, operation Monday through Friday 7:00AM to 6:00AM and closed Saturday and Sunday. Licensee states they will care for children 6 months to 12 years of age. ADU address: 3916 Rose Avenue, Long Beach, CA 90807: ADU is located in backyard of home. All areas identified on the facility sketch were inspected, including but not limited to, off- limit areas. This is a one -story unit located behind the main home. The unit was approved with permit by the Long Beach Development Services Department on 07/30/2010. The children and parents enter the yard from the right side of the home. The gate has a RING video for safety and is locked. The unit has an activity room, kitchenette, and bathroom. The kitchenette has a door with a lock. There is a stand -alone window air conditioner and heater which is used for ventilation and heat. There is a two-car garage attached to the ADU unit. The garage is off-limits and inaccessible to children in care. The front home address is 3916 Rose Avenue, Long Beach, CA 90807: The front home consists of 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living room, dining room, kitchen, laundry space in the kitchen. The front house is off limits to children and parents. The main care areas include the ADU activity room and bathroom. The kitchenette is off-limits. The children use the back yard for activities. The backyard is fenced. Areas used by children were inspected for safety, comfort, and cleanliness. Telephone service is a cell phone and will remain in the home during daycare hours. The main home in front is off-limits to parents and children. Detergents, cleaning compounds, medicines, sharp objects, and hazardous items that can pose a danger to children are inaccessible in areas designated for children. The applicant was advised that any poisons must be locked with a key or combination lock. Per applicant, there are no firearms or weapons on the premises. The value on the 3A10BC fire extinguisher indicates fully charged, as indicated on receipt dated 09/19/2024. Smoke and carbon monoxide detectors were tested and are operable. There are toys available for children. The licensee utilizes Resource and Referral Agency – Child Lane, The Children’s Home Society, and Food Program National CACFP association.
