This is a one-story home which consists of 4 bedrooms, 3 bathroom, living room, dining area, kitchen, laundry room, attached garage (converted to childcare activity room). The home was inspected for safety, comfort, cleanliness, telephone service, heating and ventilation, inaccessibility to poisons, detergents, cleaning compounds, medicines, and hazardous items that can pose a danger to children in care.

Areas used by children include: Living room, dining room, kitchen, bedroom 2 (next to master bath), bathroom in the hallway next to bedroom 2, bathroom in the hallway by the dining room, attached garage, side and back yard. The garage is accessed via hallway by laundry area

Areas off limits include: Master bedroom, bathroom in master bedroom, bedroom 3 and bedroom 4 (by the garage), pool.

LPA observed an in ground pool in the backyard. The pool is surrounded by mesh fence that does not obscure the pool from view. The fenced is at least five feet tall, in good repair and designed so children could not remove any portion of it. LPA observed a locked gate, that swings away from the pool, and it is self closing and self latching. There are no openings between the mesh panels that exceed four inches. The mesh fencing is secured to the cement ground with no gaps at the bottom of the fence. Fence is of sufficient strength to withstand the impact of toys (tricycles, wagons, etc.) Fence does not readily bend upon impact. Licensee agrees that fencing will remain in place whenever licensed care is provided, and so long as the mesh fence makes the swimming pool inaccessible to children as determined by licensing staff. ---PAGE 1

The home was observed to be clean and orderly. There are outlet covers throughout the home. Smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detector were observed, tested and found to be operable. First Aid and emergency supplies are available located in daycare area. LPA observed age appropriate toys and learning materials in the daycare area.

LPA observed the required 2A10 BC fire extinguisher in kitchen and garage purchased or serviced or purchased within the last 12 months. Applicant was reminded that fire extinguishers need to be purchased or serviced yearly. The home has central air and heating

The applicant states that meals will be provided by facility and parents will also have the option to bring food from home. Applicant was informed that any food brought from the children’s homes must be labeled with child’s name and properly stored or refrigerated.

The applicant has completed the required Health and Safety Training, Nutrition, and Lead Training, Mandated Reporter Training, and Pediatric First Aid/CPR expire on 01/2023. Required immunization's are current.

Per Applicant, there are no weapons or firearms in the facility, none were observed by LPA. Applicant has a small dog that is kept in off limit bedroom of home.

Per applicant, the side and back yard will be used as outdoor play area. The side yard is enclosed by metal gates, the metal gate leading to the backyard where the pool is located is over 6 feet tell with a latch on the top of the gate. Licensee stated the children will use the backyard where to pool is located and children will be supervised.

LPA reviewed with applicant the LIC 311D, Forms/Records To Keep In Your Family Child Care Homes, children’s forms/records, facility forms/records, and information to be posted

Children will nap in the bedroom and main daycare area, mats, play yard crib are available.

LPA advised applicant to ensure they are following the guidance from the local health authorities in order to prevent and reduce the transmission of diseases.

The isolation area for a sick child waiting to be picked up will be in the living room away from other children.

Applicant was reminded that all adults 18 and over living in the home, persons who provide care and supervision to children, and staff who have contact with children, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
