25 | On December 29, 2022 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Alicia Mooberry conducted a pre-licensing inspection in Spanish for the above address. LPA met with Luisa Navarro, Applicant, who guided LPA on a tour of the facility. The Applicant was previously licensed for a Family Child Care License #198019805 and has relocated to the above address. Individuals residing in the home were discussed and noted. Per Applicant, hours of operation will be Monday - Friday, 6:00am to 6:00pm. Applicant states they will care for children Infants - 12 years of age.
This is a one-story home which consists of 4 bedrooms, 3 bathroom, living room, dining area, kitchen, laundry room, attached garage (converted to childcare activity room). The home was inspected for safety, comfort, cleanliness, telephone service, heating and ventilation, inaccessibility to poisons, detergents, cleaning compounds, medicines, and hazardous items that can pose a danger to children in care.
Areas used by children include: Living room, dining room, kitchen, bedroom 2 (next to master bath), bathroom in the hallway next to bedroom 2, bathroom in the hallway by the dining room, attached garage, side and back yard. The garage is accessed via hallway by laundry area
Areas off limits include: Master bedroom, bathroom in master bedroom, bedroom 3 and bedroom 4 (by the garage), pool.
LPA observed an in ground pool in the backyard. The pool is surrounded by mesh fence that does not obscure the pool from view. The fenced is at least five feet tall, in good repair and designed so children could not remove any portion of it. LPA observed a locked gate, that swings away from the pool, and it is self closing and self latching. There are no openings between the mesh panels that exceed four inches. The mesh fencing is secured to the cement ground with no gaps at the bottom of the fence. Fence is of sufficient strength to withstand the impact of toys (tricycles, wagons, etc.) Fence does not readily bend upon impact. Licensee agrees that fencing will remain in place whenever licensed care is provided, and so long as the mesh fence makes the swimming pool inaccessible to children as determined by licensing staff. ---PAGE 1
