25 | Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Austin Estrada and Jeanette Estrada conducted an announced pre-licensing inspection. The purpose of this inspection is to inspect and evaluate the facility for a License. LPAs met wit applicant Nilani Marabage who provided LPAs a tour of the facility. Operating hours will be Sunday to Saturday 6:00AM to 6:00PM and care will be provided for children ages newborn to 12 years old. All residents living in the main home were discussed and verified and have obtained a criminal record clearance.
The day care facility is a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom home with a front yard, living room, dining area, kitchen, backyard (fenced), laundry room, and attached garage.
Off Limit areas include three bedrooms, one bathroom, attached garage, and a section of the backyard.
On Limit areas include the Living room, hallway bathroom, dining area, kitchen, laundry room and one section of the backyard. LPA observed the bathroom cabinets to have latches installed where cleaning products and personal hygiene items are stored. The kitchen and laundry room are only on limits through passing to the on limits back yard. LPA observed a fence that separates the on limits and off limits areas of the backyard.
The day care areas that will be used by children were observed for safety, comfort, cleanliness, telephone service (cell phone), ventilation and heating. Per Licensee, children will have access to one bathroom located in the hallway. LPA observed age appropriate materials and toys available for children. LPA observed four napping mats, two cots, one play yard, and one crib in the living room available for children. Per Licensee, food will be provided for children in care. LPA advised Licensee that if children bring food from home, it should be labeled with the child’s name and properly stored or refrigerated. LPA advised Licensee that high chairs are to only be used for eating during mealtimes. Detergents, cleaning compounds, sharp objects and hazardous items that can pose a danger to children are inaccessible to children in care. Knives and sharp objects are kept in an upper cabinet in the kitchen. Personal medicines are kept in an off limits bathroom. LPA observed cleaning compounds located in the off limits garage.
Per the Licensee, there are no poisons stored in the home. LPA advised that if any poisons are kept in the home at a later date to keep them in a locked cabinet or container. LPA observed an operable smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector in the home. LPA observed a fully charged 2A10BC fire extinguisher with a . |
