32 | LPA observed the bathroom to be in good condition with working toilets, and sinks. LPA observed hand soap dispenser and a touch free hand dryer. LPA observed a total of three toilets and three sinks. The lobby will be used as the ill isolation area, away from the other children.
A monthly snack menu is available and posted. Facility uses an outside vender for food called Watson's Food Services. Water pitchers for each classroom and water disposable cups. The facility has water delivered from an outside vend LPA observed the food preparation area to be clean and free of litter, rubbish, rodents, and/or any other vermin and storage containers for solid waste, including moveable bins with tight-fitting covers that are kept on, and in good repair. The facility was observed to be free of flies, other insects, and rodents.
Outdoor play area was observed and toured at 2:00pm. Yard is split into three sections. First section has toys, play structure and fake grass. Second section is used for bikes and has a bike path. The third section located to the left of the facility is used for sensory play and hop scotch.
Staff Records were reviewed to ensure the following: Criminal record clearance or criminal record exemption, education credits, current CPR/First Aid and health preventative practices, proof of immunization against pertussis and measles and influenza and/or flu declination, Mandated Reporter training, LPA observed at least one staff member to have current EMSA approved CPR/1st aid.
Children’s records were reviewed for (LIC) 282- Affidavit Regarding Liability Insurance, Immunization's Records, LIC 700- Identification and Emergency Information, LIC 627- Consent for Medical Treatment, LIC 995A Notification of Parents’ Rights,
LPA discussed the safe sleep regulations with facility representative and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-and-resources/safe-sleep as an additional resource. LPA also informed facility representative of the importance of checking for and removing any recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment. |
