25 | On March 07, 2024, at 1:00pm, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Elka Chavez conducted an announced follow-up to the Pre-Licensing inspection conducted on 01/22/2024. Upon arrival, LPA met with Facility Representative, Veronica Tapia, who guided analyst on a tour of the facility. The purpose of this visit is to deliver an amended report and discuss best practices for when preschool children use the kitchen for cooking projects and food preparation activities as part of the Montessori curriculum. LPA advised facility representative, Veronica Tapia to obtain written permission from parents to allow children in the kitchen for activities. To limit the number of children to 2 to 3 children at a time. To ensure proper supervision and safety from hazards when children are in the kitchen. Facility representative, Veronica Tapia was advised that food-preparation areas cannot be included in the calculation of indoor activity space.
