25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Alicia Mooberry conducted an unannounced Annual Random Inspection on this date in Spanish. Upon arrival at 9:30am, LPA informed of the purpose of inspection and provided form LIC 126, Inspection Entrance Checklist. The Licensee provided tour of facility. LPA inspected rooms/areas on the facility sketch in which child-care services are provided and to which children have access. Per licensee the current hours of care provided are Monday – Saturday 7:00am - 6:00pm. There were 5 children present, including 3 infants. Also present was Adult 1, who does not have current background clearance. Per licensee, Adult 1 has been volunteering and never alone with children in care. Individuals residing in the home were discussed and noted.
This is a one-story home which consists of 3 bedrooms, 2.5 bathroom, den (Daycare Room), kitchen, front and backyard (fenced) and converted garage located in the back yard. The home was inspected for safety, comfort, cleanliness, telephone service, heating and ventilation, inaccessibility to poisons, detergents, cleaning compounds, medicines, and hazardous items that can pose a danger to children in care.
Areas used by children include: Living Room, Den (Daycare Room), 1/2 bathroom (inside the den/daycare room), enclosed play area in the back yard.
Areas off limits include: Bedroom 1, Bedroom 2 and 3, 2 bathrooms, converted garage, kitchen, backyard.
LPA observed a baby walker in the daycare room posing a potential risk to the health and safety of children in care. Licensee was reminded that baby walkers are prohibited for use in licensed facility.
