25 | On 5/22/25 at 10:15am Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Ashley Calderon conducted an announced pre-licensing inspection. The purpose of this inspection is Applicant relocated and is applied for a Large Family Child Care Home. LPA Calderon was greeted by Applicant Sonia Sandoval who allowed entry into the facility. LPA disclosed the purpose of today's visit.
Applicant has (2) children living in the home under the age of 10, LPA notified Applicant children count in the day care census when Licensed. Children were not present during the visit. There are (2) adults living in the home, including the Applicant, adults are fingerprinted cleared. LPA conducted a tour of the facility with Applicant Sonia Sandoval. Operating hours are Monday through Sunday 24 hours. Applicant was advised care cannot be provided for a continuous 24 hour period. Care will be provided for children ages 1 year to 13 years old. Overnight care will be provided.
This is a one story home single dwelling home in a residential area, the home has (3) three bedrooms and (1) bathrooms, a living room upon entrance, dining/kitchen, laundry front yard backyard (fenced, has one shed) attached garage.
Off Limit areas: Room #2- Applicant bedroom, garage and shed. (Off Limits is kept locked)
On Limit areas: Living room, dining area/kitchen, bathroom, bedroom # 1 (napping room), bedroom #2 (kids room) and backyard. (laundry room is a passage way to the backyard)
The day care areas that will be used by children was observed for comfort, cleanliness, telephone service via cell phone, ventilation and heating (central heating & air). Facility has an interconnected operable carbon monoxide detector/ smoke detector in the facility. LPA observed a 2A10BC fire extinguisher in the home with proof of purchase dated 5/15/25. Applicant was reminded to have fire extinguisher serviced annually and have proof of receipt or inspection service tag. (Pg 1)
