25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jose Villalobos conducted an unannounced annual visit focused on Inspection Control. LPA met with administrator Nicki Drew and the purpose of the visit was discussed.
As a part of the inspection, LPA used the inspection tool, reviewed (4) resident records, (3) staff files, and (4) resident medications. Currently the facility has (4) residents which are are non-ambulatory. The facility is a single story home located in a residential area and contains the following: living room, dining room, kitchen with refrigerator, oven, stove, dishwasher, sink/faucet, locked storage cabinet for medications and sharps, (4) resident rooms, (1) live in staff room, (3) bathrooms; each bathroom with shower, toilet and washbasin. A back yard with shaded area and seating for resident use. A detached garage inaccessible to residents for storage, a washer and dryer. The residence is equipped with central air and heating. LPA observed the following during inspection of resident rooms: mattresses and box springs in good condition, adequate lighting present, plenty of dresser/closet space present, and all bed linens present. LPA observed there were sufficient bedding, linens, and toiletries accessible to residents. Bathrooms were found to be within Title 22 regulation. Bathroom water temperatures between required 105-120 degrees. Perishable and non-perishable food supply was checked and adequately stocked at time of visit. Carbon monoxide detector and smoke detectors are operational. Fire extinguishers were fully charged and operational, toxins and knifes were locked and inaccessible to residents. Medications were centrally stored and properly locked, first aid kit was checked an in order. No bodies of water were observed. Patio furniture with shade was accessible. Exits/ Walkways around the home were free of debris and hazards. Required postings observed throughout the facility. LPA completed visit with the Inspection Tool focused on Infection Control.
No deficiencies cited on this visit and a copy of report was provided to Administrator Nicki Drew. |
