25 | On 01/24/2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Valerie Mireles conducted an unannounced case management inspection. LPA met with Director Carissa Cederblom at the above facility. The purpose of today’s inspection is to check the newly installed play ground structure for a previously licensed playground area, which was installed in the back of the facility. The facility was previously approved for a playground waiver, and are currently sharing a separate playground.
During the inspection, LPA toured the facility inside and outside and a census was taken. LPA observed that a new playground structure was installed appropriately and no hazards were observed. There are no loose or pointed parts. The playground structure has artificial turf and rubber material to cushion any falls. Director submitted playground specifications. The outside square footage measured to an approximate 7,888 square feet for both playgrounds, which will accommodate the requested capacity of 84 preschool children; therefore, the playground waiver is no longer needed. Water from indoor fountains is used to fill pitchers which are brought outside during outdoor activities. Children bring water bottles from home. Facility has cups on hand in case a child forgets their water bottle. LPA has deemed the new play structure safe for use.
Per Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 1, of the California Code of Regulations, no deficiencies are cited.
Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Director Carissa Cederblom.
