25 | On 01/08/2025 Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs), Stephanie Vega-Gonzalez and Pa Kou Vue conducted an unannounced Annual/ Random Inspection. LPA Vega-Gonzalez called licensee, Sheri Tate to open the front entrance gate. LPAs waited roughly five minutes to enter the licensee’s property. LPAs met with licensee, Sheri Tate. Also present was licensee’s husband/assistant. Days and hours of operation are Monday through Friday 7:30AM to 4:30PM.
LPA toured the home inside and outside and a census was taken. LPA reviewed current facility sketch and confirmed that the living room, kitchen, formal dinning room, dinning room, playroom (day care room), hallway bathroom, and backyard are used for providing care and are accessible to children. All other rooms are off-limits and made inaccessible by use of a baby gate.
There is no swimming pool or other bodies of water on the premises.
All firearms and ammunition are stored and locked separately. No poisons were observed during the inspection. Detergents, cleaning compounds, medication and other hazardous items are made inaccessible. During the inspection LPA observed that home had various farm animals. In the front yard LPA observed horses, ducks, and chickens. In the backyard LPA observed one pig, one small cow, and small goats. Licensee informed LPA that they also have two medium dogs, one small dog, and two kittens. Licensee understand the liability of pets around day care children and accepts responsibilities of any action taken by pets.
There is one fireplace-stove in the home located in the living room and is made inaccessible by a metal handle and will not be in use during daycare hours. There is a working fire extinguisher, smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector and adequate heating and ventilation for safety and comfort.
This is a single level home and there are no stairs. Safe toys and play equipment are observed. The home has a working telephone service and LPA confirmed the phone number is (559) 250-3242.
