(b) The person who brings the child to, and removes the child from, the center shall sign the child in/out.
(c) A person who removes the child from the center during the day, and returns the child to the center the same day, shall sign the child in/out.
LPA reviewed 6 children’s files and confirmed that all 6 children have complete files that include their emergency contact information and medical information.
LPA reviewed the files for all 4 staff members and confirmed that 3 were current with their Pediatric First Aid/CPR certifications. All staff members have current Mandated Reporter certifications. LPA reminded director of all forms necessary in staff files and provided LIC 125 Entrance checklist for all forms required.
The Director has stated that the facility does not house any firearms or other types of weapons.
The LPA observed that the facility posted the required documents. (i.e., license, waivers, notification of parental rights, notification of personal rights, car seat law, emergency disaster plan, and daily activities). LPA reminded Director all these postings must be posted in a prominent publicly visible location.
The LPA reviewed the facility's emergency drill log. According to the facility’s emergency drill log, the facility's emergency drills are carried out monthly with the last one done 9/9/25 and properly logged.
Assembly Bill (AB) 2370, Chapter 676, Statutes of 2018, requires all licensed Child Care Centers (CCCs) constructed before January 1, 2010, to test their water (used for drinking and food preparation) for lead contamination before January 1, 2023, and then every 5-years after the date of the first test.
LPA verified that the lead testing was completed in accordance to the Written Directives outlined in PIN 21-21.1-CCP.
