Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Haydee Caliboso met with Tracy Salter (Assistant Director) on 02/18/22 for a pre-licensing inspection. The applicant has requested a capacity of 11 children, ages two to entry to first grade. The facility building that will be used for the program is on a commercial building called The Garage building and will operate from Monday - Friday; 8:00AM – 4:00PM. However, the program plans to provide care from 8:00AM - 1:00PM at this time. The designated Director for the facility is Jenine Gallardo. The facility was inspected today, indoor and outdoor, for health and safety hazards, and measured to calculate capacity.

Indoor: There is one classroom that will be used for the program and the following square footage was calculated for 409.06 sq. ft. allowing for a capacity of 11 children. The classrooms and furniture equipment are clean and in good condition. Children’s toys and supplies are orderly, in good condition, and age appropriate. There is storage space for children's personal belongings. Parents will provide snacks and lunch daily. The classroom is equipped with a fire extinguisher, smoke, and carbon monoxide detectors. The classroom has garbage cans with tight-fitting lids. The classroom has a designated backpack with a first aid kit and emergency supplies. There is also a first aid kit located in the front office area. Refrigerated medications will be stored separately from food. Medication will be administered with parental consent and will be kept in the child’s file for record. All medication will be logged when administered to children. The program will not be providing nap or rest/quiet time during the hours of care.

There is one sink in the classroom available for children to use. There is one bathroom and one sink accessible for children's use. The bathroom is located outside the classroom down the hall.
