13 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Leticia Rosales-Meza conducted a subsequent complaint investigation inspection, for the purpose of delivering complaint findings, and met with the Licensee, Beatriz Ceja. It was alleged that Licensee handled child in a rough manner, specifically that the Licensee Beatriz would pull the hood on the back of Child 1 (C1) sweatshirts, causing C1 to choke. It was alleged that Licensee slapped child in the face with an open hand, specifically that the Licensee has slapped Child 2 (C2) on the face with an open hand.
During the initial complaint investigation to the facility on 3/18/24, records were reviewed, and the LPA conducted an interview with the Licensee at 2:20 PM. The Licensee denied the allegations and stated, "I've never, ever slapped a child, nor handled a child in a rough manner". Licensee stated she felt sad because she has helped parents a lot with their child(ren) by picking up children from school or providing care for when a parent is late picking up their child(ren), and even on weekends. Licensee stated she has flexible hours and does all her best to accommodate parents with their work schedules. Some parent's schedule change from week to week.
