Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Robert Maciel made a case management inspection and met with Director Seasha Robb (D1). The inspection was made in response to water lead testing results uploaded to the California State Water Resource Control Board on 11/18/24 showing that the following faucet, tested above the allowable level (5 ppb) of lead in the water: Faucet “A” – Sink Faucet, in the kitchen, tested at 8.7 ppb. Because there is only one faucet, the lead test results uploaded to the California State Water Resource Control Board are only assigned to the School Age facility (#233009444). Both licenses use the same faucet though. On 10/24/24 D1 emailed LPA Maciel, informing him that her recent lead test came back with an ALE and stated that she was going to remediate by replacing the faucet and would start using bottled water.

During today’s inspection, LPA observed that the faucet was replaced. D1 stated that the faucet has been replaced and that she will contact the water testers to re-test the faucet. D1 stated that the children in care are receiving drinking water from bottled water.

The following deficiency is being cited (see LIC 809D). A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the Director Seasha Robb.
