32 | During the interview with IB investigator on 05/16/23 and again today, L1 stated that only children use the bathroom in the daycare area and adults use the bathroom inside of the home, in the off-limits area. L1 stated that although no parent has ever asked to use the bathroom, if they did she would direct them to use the bathroom inside of the house. During today’s investigation at 10:15am, L1 denied the allegation, stating that no adult has ever gone to the bathroom in front of a day-care child. Interviews with S1, and A2 corroborated what L1 stated, both stating that no adults have ever used the daycare bathroom and no children have entered the off-limits areas were the adults use the bathroom, denying that an adult has ever used the bathroom in front of a daycare child. S2 stated that there was one time that the bathroom in the main house was occupied, and it was an emergency, so she did use the bathroom in the playroom, but that the door was closed, and the children could not see her. L1, S1, S2 and A2 all stated that they have never changed out of clothing in front of a day care child. LPA Strother observed only children using the daycare area bathroom during the visit on 04/06/23 and again during today’s visit. During interviews with children C2-C4, they all stated that they have never observed any adult use the bathroom or change clothes in front of them and that teachers close the door when they use the bathroom and that they use the bathroom upstairs.
Based on available information and interviews conducted, although the allegations may have happened or are valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to support the allegation, therefore the allegation is unsubstantiated.
