25 | On 4/5/22, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Joseph Pacheco and Priscilla Zamudio conducted an unannounced case management inspection. LPAs met with Director, Michelle Joseph, toured the facility inside and outside and a census was taken. The purpose of today's inspection was to inspect a new shade structure that was installed in the outdoor play area over the previously existing play structure. The outdoor play area is for use for the preschool children in the Sun and Moon Room. LPAs observed that the new shade structure provides adequate shade for children during outdoor activities. Rubber cushioning is being used. Adequate cushioning around the slide and outdoor play structure was observed to absorb falls. Manufacturer specifications state the play structure is suitable for children ages 2-12 years old. Outdoor activity space surface is maintained in a safe condition and is free of hazards. Playground equipment is in good condition, free of sharp, loose, or pointed parts.
Effective today, 4/5/22, the facility may begin using the outdoor play area for preschool children in the Sun and Moon Room.
Per Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 1, of the California Code of Regulations, no deficiencies are cited.
Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Director, Michelle Joseph.
