25 | On April 29, 2021, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Norma Lomeli conducted a capacity increase inspection from a Small Family Child Care Home to a Large Family Child Care Home. Present at time of inspection was licensee, Licensee’s Temporary Assistant, Monique Galvan and seven day care children. Verified licensee CPR and First Aid was completed through Pediatric Plus with Emergency Medical Services Authority stickers (EMSA) and expires on July 13, 2021. Licensee’s Assistant will be Blanca Madrigal who has not completed the CPR and First training. Licensee understand that the assistant must not be left alone to provide care and supervision to day care children until she completes the Pediatric CPR and First Aid training. Background criminal record clearances are verified and discussed, and LIS 531 is signed indicating that the adults living in the home and/or providing care and supervision to children have a criminal record clearance or exemption. Fire clearance was granted on February 19, 2021.
A tour of the home, inside and outside, as shown on the facility sketch, was conducted and the following was discussed and/or observed:
- Fire clearance was received on April 19, 2021. Licensee states that fire inspector did not require for her to install a fire pull alarm.
- During today's inspection, licensee updated her facility sketch by making bedroom #2 inaccessible to day care children by the use of a key lock. Licensee is made bedroom #3 accessible to the day care children. LPA inspected bedroom #3 and ensure that the room is safe for the day care children.
- LPA observed in bedroom #1 (day care room); children size furniture, safe toys and books for the children. There is also a parents board. There is a high chair in the kitchen.
