25 | On 01/21/2026, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Yesenia Fierro conducted an unannounced annual required inspection and was met by Licensee, Alma Barragan, also present was Staff #1 (S1) Rosalba Barajas. Licensee is Spanish speaking. LPA explained the reason for the visit. All adults who reside or work in the home have a criminal record clearance or exemption, there are no excluded individuals present at this home. LPA Fierro confirmed the home has a working telephone service. Licensee stated days and hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 5:00a.m.-6:00p.m.
Licensee stated there are no firearms, ammunition, or bodies of water on the premises. LPA observed one (1) cat and licensee confirmed she has one (1) cat and one (1) dog on the premises. Licensee understands the liability of pets around day care children and accepts responsibilities of any action taken by pets. LPA conducted a census, during today’s inspection there were two (2) children present in the home, capacity as specified on the license is being maintained. A current facility sketch was reviewed, and Licensee confirmed the living room 1/playroom , living room 2, dining room, kitchen, bathroom and backyard are accessible to the children, all other rooms are off-limits and made inaccessible by using baby gates.
During today’s inspection LPA toured the home inside and outside. This is a two-story home. LPA observed stairs in the kitchen area. there is one (1) fireplace in the home, fireplace is located in living room 2. Fireplace is made inaccessible by glass. Licensee stated that fireplace will not be in use during daycare hours. There is a working fire extinguisher, smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector and adequate heating and ventilation for safety and comfort. Licensee understands to test both smoke detector and carbon monoxide periodically for functionality.
During today’s inspection LPA observed areas, surfaces, carpets, and floors accessible to the children are in operable and sanitary condition. LPA observed the home to have age-appropriate toys, dramatic play
