25 | On 03/19/2024 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Yesenia Fierro conducted an unannounced annual required inspection and was met by Licensee, Diana Alcazar Lopez also present was her assistant Carlos Lopez. LPA explained the reason for the visit. LPA confirmed days and hours of operation are 24/5. The home has a working telephone service and LPA confirmed the phone number is (650) 274-5687. All adults who reside or work in the home have a criminal record clearance or exemption. There are no excluded individuals present at this home.
LPA conducted a census, capacity as specified on the license is being maintained. During todays visit there was two (2) children in care. A current facility sketch was reviewed, and Licensee confirmed bedroom #2 and hallway bathroom are used for care. All other rooms are off-limits and made inaccessible by use of plastic door spinners, gates, latches. LPAs toured the home inside and outside.
This is a single-story home; LPA did not observe a fireplace, there is a working fire extinguisher, smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector and adequate heating and ventilation for safety and comfort. LPA observed licensee test the smoke detector and carbon monoxide. Licensee understands to test both smoke detector and carbon monoxide periodically for functionality.
There are no firearms, or ammunition on the premises. Licensee stated that all poisons are kept in the garage. LPA did not observe any poisons during the inspection, detergents, cleaning compounds, medication and other hazardous items are made inaccessible. Licensee confirmed there are 3 small dogs and 3 large dogs, licensee understands the liability and takes responsibility for any actions taken by the pets.
LPAs observed all indoor toys, play equipment, materials and surfaces accessible to children are clean and in operable condition. Floors and carpets are kept clean and in serviceable conditions. Licensee states the backyard is off limits.
