25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Fermin Campos-Jaramillo conducted an unannounced random annual inspection to the home today. LPA met with Juana Hernandez, Licensee, and explained the nature of today's inspection to her. Days and hours of operation are Monday to Saturday from 4:00 AM to 7:00 PM The adults that reside in the home are the Licensee, her adult daughter Naomi, and Licensee's spouse Jaime. Also in the home reside licensee's minor daughters 13 and 12 years old. LPA observed there were not children in care during the inspection. Licensee's certifications for CPR and First Aid Card is current and will expire on 02/04/23.
LPA toured the indoor and outdoor areas of the home during today's inspection. LPA obtained a copy of the Child Care Facility Roster during today's inspection and it is current. LPA reviewed three children's files and observed they include the parent's rights form and the immunization records form. LPA observed the fire drill is current and last fire drill was documented on 10/04/21. The Licensee has a working telephone (landline) in the home. LPA observed sufficient materials, toys, and play equipment for the day care children. LPA observed the home has central A/C and heating, and there are not any wall heaters in the home. Off limit areas in the home are the attached garage, the private bathroom and 4 bedrooms. The home washing and dryer area is located in the garage. There are no stairs or fireplaces in the home. Off limits out side: Side yards (both) and a locked shed located in the back yard. LPA observed the home has a fenced back yard, which is used as playground for the children in care.
LPA observed a fully charged brand new 3A40BC fire extinguisher, working smoke and carbon monoxide detectors and no bodies of water. The Licensee states that she does not have any weapons in the home. All detergents, cleaning compounds, medications, and other similar items are stored inaccessible to children. LPA discussed Incidental Medical Services (IMS) with the Licensee. Licensee has in file proof of immunization for herself and for her helpers, according with the SB792, for pertussis, measles, and flu vaccines.
