Indoor areas of the home were inspected by the LPA today and observed to be clean, orderly, and safe for the day care children. Off-limits areas inside the home include: 2 bedrooms, master bedroom, bathroom, and laundry room. Licensee has a fireplace unit in the home and understands that she cannot use the fireplace unit during day care hours. LPA observed sufficient age-appropriate materials, toys, and play equipment in the home. Furniture, such as tables, chairs, and shelves, are in good condition and safe for children. Drinking water is readily available for children in the facility via water dispensers and disposable cups. The bathroom in the home is clean, sanitary, and operable. The Licensee has a working telephone in the facility.
The backyard area of the home was inspected and LPA observed sufficient play-equipment and supplies for the children. There is a separate fenced area for infant use in the backyard that has age appropriate toys and materials in it. Various activity areas are located outside and there is a covered, maintained sandbox. Off-limit areas outside of home include: both side yard areas, storage house, and front yard. No outdoor bodies of water were observed during todays inspection.

2 children’s files were reviewed during todays inspection and all required documents were present. Licensee and Assistant files were reviewed and most required documents were present. There is at least one staff member present with current CPR/First-Aid that expires 3/17/2023. The Licensee has current Mandated Reporter Training that expires on 10/13/2023 and LPA reminded Licensee that training must be renewed by all staff every 2 years. |
