25 | Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Harsimran Kaur and Janette Cruz conducted an announced pre-licensing inspection. LPAs met with Sherilyn Napoli, Applicant/Executive Director and explained the reason for the inspection. The purpose of this inspection: Applicant is applying for a preschool license. Applicant is applying for a capacity of 12 preschool children. The center is located in the Carmel Youth Center Gymnasium that will be used for preschoolers from Monday- Friday, 7 AM to 3 PM. There is also a school-age program on site that will operating from Monday to Friday 3PM to 6PM.
Applicant advised that there should be a designated area for required postings, such as notification of parent's rights, personal rights, daily activity schedule, facility sketch, car seat law, and menu. There is working phone at the site, which is (831) 624-3285. .
The following are indoor measurements and information:
Preschool Program
The Indoor total measurements contain a total of {2392.29} square feet, which will accommodate Applicant’s request for 12 preschoolers.
Outdoor total measurements contain a total of {2271.17} square feet, which will accommodate Applicant’s request for 12 preschoolers.
There are 15 chairs, 3 tables, 34 cubbies, 7 cots, 2 urinals, 5 toilets, and 5 sinks for the preschool program. There are no age appropriate toys and equipment available for children during todays inspection. LPAs reminded that all disinfectant, cleaning supplies, or other items that could pose a risk to children need to be inaccessible. LPAs also discussed that minimum temperature in the room, which is 68 degrees Fahrenheit. There is fully charged fire extinguisher, smoke detector, and carbon monoxide detector. There is a first aid kit, which has all the required items. Isolation area is in the facility office. LPAs observed that facility has theater area for viewing activities. Facility has three meeting rooms that are currently off-limits to children. |
