25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Glenn Ouye me with Julieta Whiteside to conduct a prelicensing ;inspection for a change of location and capacity increase. The application was received on June 13, 2022. The approved fire clearance was received on June 16, 2022.
The program is adding the toddler component to the infant license. The interior has sufficient square footage for 6 toddlers and 4 infants. There are age appropriate toys, equipment and furniture for the infants and toddlers. The toddler activity area is physically separated from the infant activity are by a partition. The infant sleep area is in an alcove next to the activity area. There are sufficient cribs and cots for the children. There are functioning smoke, carbon monoxide detectors and two fully charged fire extinguishers rated at 3A40BC.
The outdoor area has sufficient square footage to support a maximum of six children at a time. The facility will use a rotational outdoor waiver that will allow the infant and toddlers to use the outdoor area separately at scheduled times.
The licensee was reminded that all adults 18 years and over responsible for administration or direct supervision of staff, persons who provides care and supervision to children, and staff who have contact with children, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. |
