25 | A change of location inspection was conducted today by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Cindy Castro. An application was received by the department on 11/03/25 for the change of location. The applicant, Erika Mora Raya was previously licensed as a small family childcare home, facility number 283010760. The applicant is currently requesting a license for a capacity of 14 children at her new location.
Services will be available Monday – Friday 6:00 AM – 10:30 PM and Saturday-Sunday 6:00am-4:30pm. The licensee understands that 24hr consecutive care is prohibited. The residence is a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom single level home. There are currently two adults living in the home. Applicant was reminded that all adults 18 and over living in the home, persons who provide care and supervision to children, and staff who have contact with children, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5-days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30-days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
The floor plans were verified. Proof of Control of property was verified. The children will have access to living room, kitchen, dining room, hallway bathroom, bedroom #1(nap room) and backyard. The off-limits areas of the home include two bedrooms, one bathroom, laundry room and garage. The off-limit areas were made inaccessible by child doorknob covers and door latches. The children will use the backyard as the outdoor play area, and it is completely fenced. The home appears to be clean and orderly at this time and will remain so during childcare hours. There is a working telephone in the home. The sharp knives, cleaning supplies, and medicines will be stored out of the reach of children. License stated that there are no poisons in the home.
