25 | At 2:30pm on 9/24/2024, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Matthew Gallo met with applicant Kyah Stoll for the purpose of an announced prelicensing inspection. Applicant has requested a Small Family Childcare Home License to serve up to 8 children.
The facility is a one story, 3 bedroom and 2 bathroom home consisting of a living room, kitchen, office, Bedroom 1 and Bedroom 2, master bedroom/bathroom, and garage. Off limit areas will include: all bedrooms, and garage. Applicant understands that children must never enter these off-limit areas. The backyard play area is fenced, and applicant acknowledges unfenced outdoor areas on the property require 100% supervision.
Applicant intends to operate 7:00am-5:30pm, Monday-Friday, year-round. Applicant understands they must be present at the facility for 80% of operating hours per day.
Criminal background clearances were verified. Applicant was reminded that all adults 18 and over living in the home, persons who provide care and supervision to children, and staff who have contact with children, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5-days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30-days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
LPA and Applicant toured the entire facility and property. All toxic and hazardous items are inaccessible to children and applicant understands that any cabinet containing such items and that is reachable by children must be made inaccessible. Applicant also understands that poisons meant to kill things such as, but not limited to, insects, rodents, or vegetation, must be stored under key or combination lock. Report continues on 809-C |
