LPAs interviewed 5 staff, 3 parents, no children were interviewed due to children were non-verbal. LPAs obtained LIC500 Personnel Summary Report and LIC9040 Children’s Roster.

Reporting Party (RP) stated there is mold in the infant/toddler classroom.

LPAs observed the 2 infant classroom (Room #1 and Room #2), the sink areas, under the rugs and mats, and walls. LPAs did not observe molds in both infant rooms. The rooms were clean and sanitary.

5 staff were interviewed. 5 of 5 staff stated they have not seen molds in classroom 1 and 2. 5 staff stated they are not aware of any children getting sick because of molds. Staff 1 (S1) stated they have not seen mold in the classroom. S1 stated they sanitize the classroom by wiping tables, changing tables and toys daily in the morning and afternoon. Staff 2 (S2) stated they sanitize the classroom every morning and air dries toys at the end of the day. S2 stated they have not seen mold in the classroom. Staff 3 (S3) stated they have not seen mold in the classroom and sanitizes tables, mats changing tables daily. Staff 4 (S4) stated they have not seen mold in the classroom. S4 stated they mix part water and part sanitizing solution to sanitize the classroom and toys. Staff 5 (S5) stated they have not seen mold in the classroom and they sanitize the classroom nightly. S5 also stated there is a daily cleaner and comes at night to sweep, vacuum and mop the floors.

LPAs interviewed 3 parents, none of the parents interviewed disclosed information that support the allegation.

Based on LPAs observations and interviews conducted, although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged presence of mold in the infant classrooms did or did not occur, therefore the allegation is UNSUBSTANTIATED.

Exit interview was conducted with Director Cynthia Estep. Report was reviewed and discussed. The Notice of Site Visit was posted and must remain posted for 30 consecutive days. Appeal Rights were provided.
