25 | On 7/24/2024, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) K. Navar conducted an unannounced Case Management – other inspection assisted by Assistant Director Crystal Lauture. The Assistant Director was informed of the visit’s purpose and a facility tour was completed. LPA then met with Director-Aimee Valentin. The census was 53 children and 7 staff. The facility was operating within teacher child ratios and licensed capacity and posting requirements were met.
An on-site Facility Personnel Report Summary review indicates all facility staff or other individuals who require caregiver background checks have received criminal record and child abuse index clearances or exemptions.
Upon arrival the LPA observed children in classrooms children were eating AM snack. Staff were assisting passing out snack and supporting children needs. Bathrooms were observed and posed no health or safety risk to children in care.
During the visit, the LPA reviewed the regulations for staffing requirements and ratio handout was given.
The LPA discussed the following resources with Director Aimee Valentin and reminded her that it is her responsibility to review the information in more detail.
