The facility has age-appropriate furniture and equipment including, but no limited to, cribs or mats, changing table and feeding chairs. A baby walker was not observed during today’s visit. The facility has sufficient infant napping equipment that meets the requirements.
OUTDOOR INSPECTION: The facility has outdoor activity space for infants that is physically separate from space used by preschool childcare center. The outdoor equipment and toys were in good repair and free of sharp edges. There were no bodies of water in the facility at the time of inspection. Facility met all posting requirement. The California Child Passenger Safety Law was posted by the entrance of the facility.
CHILDREN'S’ RECORDS: The LPA reviewed the files of five children who were present during the inspection. All reviewed files were in compliance and included completed copies of the LIC 700, LIC627, LIC995A, Immunization records, and LIC9224 forms for two dates. The roster shows there is one infant enrolled. LPA reviewed LIC 9227 Individual Infant Sleeping Plan and 15-minute check logs for the infant enrolled. The infant records were in compliance.
Staff files were reviewed for staff present during the facility inspection this date, 5 staff files were reviewed. Health screening and immunization's as required were reviewed. Beginning September 1, 2016, Health and Safety (H&S) 1597.622 states, a person shall not be employed or volunteer at a family day care home if he or she has not been immunized against influenza, pertussis, and measles. Proof of immunization against pertussis, measles for 4 staff were reviewed and within compliance. Beginning March 31, 2018, H&S Code 1596.8662 requires all directors and employees to complete mandated reporting training, and to renew the training every two years. Mandated Reporter Training were completed, all staff members in compliance. At least one staff member present possesses current EMSA approved Pediatric CPR/First Aid certifications, which expires 3/2026.
The Director understands that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption prior to the initial presence in a licensed child care facility. Violation of this requirement will result in a citation of a deficiency and civil penalties of one hundred dollars ($100) per violation per day for a maximum of five (5) days.
Subsequent violations within a twelve (12) month period will result in a civil penalty of one hundred dollars ($100) per violation per day for a maximum of thirty (30) days in accordance with Section 1596.871 of the Health and Safety Code. Continued page 3.
