Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Patricia Duron conducted an unannounced complaint visit to deliver the complaint findings. LPA met with Director, Jennifer Patterson. Census was taken. The overall census observed was 6 staff and 24 children. A review of staff criminal clearance records on this date indicates that all facility staff or other individuals who require caregiver background checks have received criminal record and child abuse index clearances or exemptions.
On 5-9-23 a complaint was filed with the Licensing office stating facility is out of ratio. Reporting Party (RP) stated the teachers have been over ratio multiple times. RP stated the problem occurs during morning drop off due to teachers not showing up on time or due to teachers not being scheduled early enough to come in to prevent the ratio issues from happening.
During the course of investigation, LPA Duron interviewed 10 staff members, 3 children and 3 parents, and reviewed records.
