25 | On 1/17/202 an annual inspection was conducted at the facility by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Olivia Meza. Upon arrival, LPA met with Licensee Dasmah Eliza and her teacher assistant and was provided a tour of the home. There was one staff and one licensee with 3 preschool children three infants. Licensee stated that facility day care hours are Monday through Friday 7am to 6pm.
During today’s inspection, LPA Meza and licensee toured the inside and outside areas of the facility. Off limits areas are made inaccessible by means of door locks and safety gate. The childcare area consists of living room redesigned as a playroom, two bedrooms for the napping of children and to serve as additional play space and the hallway bathroom. Applicant has installed a gate leading to the kitchen and has placed door grips on the doors leading to the bedrooms not designated for day care. There was a carbon monoxide, smoke detector, and fire extinguisher that met statutory requirements. Detergents, cleaning compounds, medicines, and other items which could pose a danger if readily available to children were stored inaccessible to children. Licensee stated there are no firearms and/or other dangerous weapons in the facility, and none were observed during today's inspections.
During today’s inspection LPA verified there is a working (cellular) phone service. Licensee was instructed that children must be supervised at all times.
Children’s records for 5 children during LPA’s inspection were reviewed. The licensee’s Pediatric CPR and First Aid expired on 1/11/2025. The licensee’s assistant, Pediatric CPR/First Aid certification is current and expires 3/9/2025.
The most recent Emergency disaster drill was conducted on 1/14/2025 and is conducted every six months.
Fire clearance was given on this date 4/24/2012 and there are / are no special conditions per usage. The garage is not approved for day care usage.
