Licensee states children attend on rotational days and have 2 groups of children attend on Mondays/Wednesdays and another group on Tuesdays/Thursdays and Fridays are on rotational schedule. There are 5 children who attend 5 days a week and licensee maintain a ratio of 12 children daily. The children in care range from kindergarten to 5th grade and attend from 2pm to 6pm, Monday thru Friday. There is a total of 19 children enrolled which includes licensee’s 2 children. On 11/16/21, LPA called 12 parents and left messages, LPA was able to only interview 4 of the 12 parents. LPA did not receive a return call from 8 parents, the 2 of the 4 parents interviewed confirmed their child attend based on the group schedule of Mondays/Wednesdays or Tuesdays/Thursdays. 2 parents confirmed the schedule of Mondays/Wednesdays; 1 parent stated their child attend on Tuesdays/Thursdays and 1 parent stated their child attend daily.
On 12/17/21, LPA interviewed 6 children. 4 of the 6 children confirmed they attend school on Monday/Wednesday and 1 of 6 stated attend daily. 1 of 6 was not able to confirm the days of the week. All 6 children interviewed confirmed that the same children attend on the same days. LPA reviewed the children’s roster and based on the record, there are 11 children attending the Monday/Wednesday group and 12 children attending the Tuesday/Thursday group. The children only attend from 2pm to 6pm, Monday thru Fridays. Based on the sign in/sign out for the month October 2021, the Monday/Wednesday and Tuesday/Thursday group has an average of 11 to 12 children in care.
This agency has investigated the complaint alleging the home daycare is operating over capacity. Although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not enough preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation did or did not occur, therefore the allegation is unsubstantiated.
Exit interview was conducted. Notice of Site Visit was posted during the visit. Licensee was informed that the notice of site visit must be posted for 30 consecutive days. Failure to post will result in civil penalties of $100. Licensee was provided a copy of their appeal rights (LIC 9058 01/16) and their signature on this form acknowledges receipt of these rights. First level appeals should be sent to the regional manager to the address listed above. |
