25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Stacy Torrence conducted an announced Pre-licensing inspection of the facility on today's date. LPA toured the facility with the applicant, Stacey Caudillo. Currently there is two adult residents and two minor children living in the home. Applicant stated she is not currently registered with any Foster Care agency or holds a foster parent license. Applicant was reminded if changes to notify the licensing office.
A review of criminal clearance records on this date indicates adults who require caregiver background checks have received criminal record and child abuse index clearances or exemptions.
The facility is a single-story home with three bedrooms, three bathrooms, living room, family room, kitchen, dining room, attached garage, front yard (not fenced), backyard(fenced), and an Accessory Dwelling Unit(ADU) (which is secondary house that shares the same lot as the primary home). The applicant has designated two bathrooms, living room, family room, kitchen, dining room, and Accessary Dwelling Unit (ADU), and backyard, as part of the day-care. The applicant has designated three bedrooms, one-bathroom, front yard and garage, as the off-limit areas. The off-limit bedrooms have key door locks, ensuring these off-limit areas are inaccessible to children in care. The applicant acknowledged the children may never enter the off-limit areas. Control of property was verified by LPA during today’s inspection. The applicant has a cell phone that is used for childcare. The applicant was informed if a cell phone is used for childcare, it must remain on the premises at all times during hours of operation. Applicant was informed and understands the home is to be free from smoking during hours of operation.
The facility does not have a fireplace. Cleaning solutions/chemicals, utensils, and sharp knives located in the kitchen, are placed in cabinets above the countertops, ensuring they are inaccessible to the children in care.
