25 | On 07/11/24, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Anna Chan conducted an unannounced case management inspection for the purpose of increase in capacity from Small Family Childcare Home to Large Family Childcare Home. LPA met with the Licensee, Nina Soliman and was led on a tour of the home. There were 3 children present during the inspection.
A review of the Facility Personnel Report Summary indicates adult residents, who require caregiver background check clearances, transfers, exemptions have been obtained and they are cleared.
Operation hours are Monday-Friday 8:00am to 5:30pm and care and supervision shall be provided to children ages infant, preschool age children and school age children.
All areas identified on the facility sketch were inspected, including but not limited to, off limit areas. This is a single-story home with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, Great Room, daycare room, kitchen, side yard, front yard, backyard, and garage. Licensee has designated the great room, kitchen, side yard, backyard, garage, and bedroom 1, 2 and 3 and bathroom 2 as off-limits area. The bedrooms are located on the right upon entrance of the facility. Bathroom 2 is located inside bedroom 1. Childcare areas are the daycare room (living room) and front yard. Areas that are used by children were inspected for safety, comfort and cleanliness. Detergents, cleaning compounds, medicines, sharp objects, and hazardous items that can pose a danger to children are inaccessible in areas designated for children. Licensee stated they utilize the front yard for outdoor activities. The outdoor space was inspected and found to be in compliance. Licensee stated they plan to have the right side backyard cleaned and be used as outdoor space in the future.
During this inspection, LPA observed the designated off-limits areas were made inaccessible by means of baby gates and locked doors. Licensee stated there are no bodies of water on the premises.
