Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Ketki Desai conducted an announced Case Management, Licensee initiated inspection for a change in capacity for Preschool age children.

Licensee is requesting a change to the current Preschool capacity from 60 Preschool children to 40 preschool age children (2-5 years old) by removing Room # 1 and continue to use Room # 2 and 3 under the Preschool license.

Room # 2 is the full day program operating from 7:30 am to 5:30 PM, children are provided with Morning breakfast/ lunch and PM snacks. They nap in this room on the blue cots, linens and blankets are provided by the facility.

Room # 3: offers 2 half day sessions. AM session starts at 8:15am to 11:45am, Children are served Morning Breakfast and lunch. PM session starts at 12:45 PM to 4:15 PM, children are served lunch and afternoon snack. There is no napping in the half day session in room # 3.

LPA met with Facility Administrator Ms. Jones, Janice who gave a tour of the Preschool classrooms. There were no children present at the time of inspection today

All areas identified on the Facility Sketch were inspected. Furniture and equipment were inspected for age appropriateness and good repair in the preschool rooms.

Toilets and sinks: Each classroom have 2 sinks and 2 toilets, inside the classroom and they are age appropriate

Total sinks: 4 X 15= 60 (children) & Total Toilets: 4 X 15= 60 (children)

Outdoor Activity Space: Each classroom has access to the play yard from their classroom. The yard is completely fenced with enough shade provided by the awing over the play structure, sand box is covered, and the climbing structure has been placed on the soft cushion to absorb the falls.

Total outdoor space: 3658’60 divided by 75= 48’78 (49 children)
Capacity requested: 40 Preschool age children.

Based on today's inspection facility has sufficient indoor /outdoor space / toilets and sinks to accommodate the requested capacity of 40 preschool age children (2-5 years old) in two assigned rooms # 2 and 3.

Administrator Ms. Jones, Janice remains current on the required CPR training (8/22)

License for 40 Preschool age children (2-5 old) in Room # 2 and 3. Monday to Friday (7:30 AM – 5:30PM) shall be granted after the final approval by the management.

Report was read to the Facility Administrator and appeal rights were provided. Notice of site visit posted.
