Five (5) out of five (5) Staff stated that staff knew of a spray being used to prevent the spread of lice. The Director stated that verbal consent was given by the guardian to spray the solution. The Director provided LPA with a consent form signed and dated by parents that consented to the usage of a spray for the children. The Director stated that parents were informed and present during the use of the spray.
The Orange County Regional Child Care Licensing Office investigated the complaints alleging (1) Facility sprayed a substance on children without obtaining parent consent (2) Facility did not inform parents of sprayed substance. Although the allegations may have happened or are valid, based on interviews and record reviews conducted, there was not a preponderance to prove that the allegations did or did not occur, therefore, the allegations are found to be UNSUBSTANTIATED.
No deficiencies cited. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the Director, Loretta Munoz. |
