Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Romy Castanon conducted an onsite inspection for the purpose of an Annual. LPA and Director Fatima Asghar toured seven individual classrooms (A1, A2, A5, A6, A7, A8 and B5). Census was taken in each room. There was a total of 110 preschool children. The floor and yard plan (LIC 999) were verified. Facility hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

A review of the Facility Personnel Report Summary on this date indicates all facility staff or other individuals who require caregiver background checks have received criminal record and child abuse index clearances or exemptions.

During the inspection of the indoor activity space, LPA did not observe any items which could pose a danger to children (poisons, detergents, cleaning compounds, medications or hazardous items). There is a filtered drinking water dispenser and paper cups available indoors for children in care. Children are also encouraged to bring their own water bottles. The children's bathrooms are clean and sanitary. Children nap on cots if they choose to sleep and bedding is stored individually. Facility provides blankets and sheets which are washed weekly on site.

Facility provides snacks for the children throughout the day. Lunch is brought from home or parents have the option to purchase hot lunches. Hot lunches are prepared by a third-party company called Cater Tots. Food prep area observed to be clean and sanitary. Food is properly stored. Menus were posted where they could be reviewed by parents.

The facility has conducted an emergency drill within the past six months, last conducted on 08/02/2023. The facility has a working carbon monoxide detector and fire alarm. Facility met all posting requirements. The California Child Passenger Safety Law was posted by the entrance of the facility office.
