On 9/27/2024, LPA made an unannounced visit to the facility and interviewed five (5) staff. Staff stated that the infant room ratio is always 1:4, and when infants are engaged in outdoor play, there are always two (2) staff present. In case help is needed, staff stated that they can knock on the preschool door which is adjacent to the infant play yard, to ask for additional help if needed. All staff stated that daily reports are sent home at each pick up with feeding and diaper changing times, and diapers are checked regularly every one (1) or two (2) hours, as needed.
LPA reviewed the daily reports being completed by staff for infants’ feeding and diaper changes. Director provided LPA with copies of Infant Needs and Services, Individual Sleeping Plans, and Children’s Roster for investigative review.
LPA could not interview children due to the children being in an infant program and not being verbal.
On 10/4/24, LPA interviewed four (4) parents. All parents interviewed stated they were happy with the program and did not have any negative feedback.
The Orange County Regional Child Care Licensing Office has investigated the complaint alleging (1) Facility staff left children unattended and (2) Facility staff did not meet children's diapering needs: although the allegations may have happened or are valid, there was not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violations did or did not occur, therefore the allegations are UNSUBSTANTIATED.
No deficiencies cited.
A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the Director, Saeideh Gharavi.
