25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Thompson conducted a case management inspection of this facility. Upon arrival, LPA met with Assistant Director Angelica Monzon and toured the facility. LPA observed 39 preschool age children along with three staff and nine toddlers with one toddler staff. All children were on their cots at the time of arrival.
While touring the facility at 12:51 p.m., LPA observed an unlocked cabinet inside classroom #4 with nine toddler children present. Inside the unlocked cabinet, LPA observed one Sanitizing Bleach Solution and one spray bottle labeled Sanibet that reads "Hazard Warning: Corrosive, Health Hazard: Skin and eye irritant, inhalation irritant, and harmful if ingested."
Also, While touring the facility at approximately 12:55 p.m., LPA observed Rosa Reynoso caring for 12 children inside the Preschool 1 classroom. Rosa stated she has been working at the center since Monday, July 15, 2024. LPA observed Rosa Reynoso was not associated to the facility at the time of visit.
Assistant Director was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
In the areas that were evaluated, two Type A deficiencies were observed of the California Code of Regulations, Title 22, Division 12 at the time of the visit. See LIC 809D page for 101238(g) and 101170(e)(2) deficiencies.
