25 | LPA Bootorabi and Jung conducted a case management visit today 12/21/2023 for the purpose of an amended report. During today's visit it was determined that the facility director had not turned in a director package. A consultation was provided during the 10/05/2023 visit. A continuation consultation was provided today and LPAs collected the package today for review and issued a technical violation.
During the inspection the LPA was not able to obtain proof of the lead testing results and the following was discussed:
LEAD TESTING: Assembly Bill (AB) 2370, Chapter 676, Statutes of 2018, requires all licensed Child Care Centers (CCCs) constructed before January 1, 2010, to test their water (used for
drinking and food preparation) for lead contamination before January 1, 2023, and then every
5-years after the date of the first test. For child care center licenses issued after July 1, 2022, the licensee shall test their water for lead within 180 days of licensure pursuant to Written Directives section 101700 (PIN 21-21.1-CCP). LPA verified that the lead testing was completed in accordance to the Written Directives outlined in PIN 21-21.1-CCP. The child care center is located in a building that was constructed in 2017.
The director mentioned that the landlord had conducted testing and the owner of the facility has been trying to obtain results. A consultation was provided.
An exit interview was conducted with Kiana Zaragoza
A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. |
