25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Mila Quinto conducted an announced follow up pre-licensing inspection to ensure the corrections needed from the pre-licensing visit dated 8/3/2023 were completed. LPA met with the applicant, Melissa Nguyen who gave a tour of the facility.
The following are the corrections:
1- The crib area in the infant room shall be separated from the activity area by a patrician at least 4 feet high and sound absorbing. The napping area is separated from the activity area by a sound absorbing built in wall made off part wood of at least 4 feet high and half glass window. LPA advised applicant there must be a staff present with visual supervision when an infant is in the napping area.
2- Furniture including diaper changing table, cribs, mattress, sheets, refrigerator, toys, and equipment for infants. LPA observed furniture including diaper changing table, cribs, mattress, sheets, refrigerator, toys, and equipment for infants are in good condition. The diaper changing table has padded surface no less than one inch thick and with disposable cover. It has raised sides at least 3 inches high and has a sink within arm’s reach.
3- Play pen for sick child in the isolation area. There is a playpen in the designated isolated area located in the office. LPA advised applicant that the playpen is not banned from the center, however it may not be used for infant sleeping.
4- Playground renovation and fencing off for infants and toddlers. The playground has artificial grass and enough to absorb falls. There is a fence separating the infant and toddler yard from the preschool yard. LPA observed the fenced is safely secured on the ground.
