Licensing Program Analysts (LPAS) P Rivas and R. Castanon met with Director/applicant Ms. Casablanca for the purpose of conducting a case management visit to add an infant component for 8 infants 6 weeks to 18 months in room infants(rm8), 11 Toddler option ages 18 months to 36 months in room 1 (toddler room); 71 preschool children ages 36 months to 5 years in rooms 2, 3,4,5,6,and 7. The hours of operation will be
Monday to Friday 7:00am to 6:00pm.

There were a total of 9 teachers and 56 children . All staff are fingerprint cleared.
All indoor and outdoor activity space utilized for the children was inspected today. LPA informed Ms.
Casablanca that staff are required to maintain direct visual supervision of the children at all times during
indoor and outdoor activities and to ensure exits to be secured. When medications are on site, Ms.
Casablanca stated that they will be kept in the Director's office. A fully equipped first aid kit is located in each
classroom. There is an operational carbon monoxide detector on site located the infant room and kitchen. All
required licensing documents were observed posted in the main lobby. Children will be signed in and out at
front of building using Bright Wheel. Reports can be printed upon request from Community Care Licensing
(CCL) staff.

LPAs continued to tour the facility and measured all indoor and outdoor activity space. Total indoor activity
space measured at 3167.42, sq feet which is sufficient to accommodate the requested capacity of 90
Children. LPA observed all indoor activity space to be complete with safe, age-appropriate furniture and
equipment, including tables, chairs, cubbies, napping cots/mats, bookshelves, and other activity supplies for
the children. Drinking water is available in the classrooms water dispensers in kitchen and infant rooms and
own water bottles. LPA observed all hazardous items to be inaccessible to children. There are no bodies of
water or weapons on the property. No smoking is allowed. (Continue to page 2)

Infant room had 6 cribs and had 5 cots available for children's use. Feeding chairs are available and have
broad-based legs, plastic seats are in good repair and trays lock onto chairs. Changing table has at least 1”
padding covered with moisture-resistant, washable material. Sides of the changing table are at least 3” high
and the changing table is within arm’s reach of a sink. Diapering sink is not used for meal preparation or
dishwashing. Cribs meet regulatory requirements. Crib area is separated from activity space via a plexi glass
partitions . This barrier is at least four feet high,(only one side) made of sound absorbing material and allows
for supervision of napping children. Sleep logs are kept in the infant room . Needs and Services Plans and
Sleep Plans are kept in infant room. Fire clearance was granted on 10/23/24 for Capacity of 90 children, 8
infants(6wks to 18 months) 11 toddlers(18mo to 36 mo); 71 preschool children (36 mo to 5 yrs old).

LPA observed a total of 12 sinks and 12 toilets/urinals available for children’s use. Of the 12 toilets/urinals,
there are two urinals and one toilet and 3 sinks designated for toddler children. Plus the changing tables in
the infant room and toddler room had a sink. These are sufficient to accommodate the requested capacity of
90 children. There are two separate staff restrooms equipped with a toilet and a sink located directly outside
the director's office . The isolation area for children who are ill will be the Director's office and the bathroom
will be the staff bathroom.

Facility will provide snacks. The kitchen area currently includes two refrigerators and a toaster oven. The
kitchen area and food storage areas were observed free of rodents and/or vermin. Food was observed to be
properly stored separate from cleaning materials. Hazardous items in kitchen are inaccessible to children via
locked door.
The facility currently has a fully fenced playground area. Fencing was metal which is at least four feet high.
The total square footage for preschool/toddler outdoor activity space is 6713.50 square feet, which is
sufficient to accommodate the requested capacity. A Playground waiver to share play ground at different
times between preschool and toddlers was submitted. Shade is provided via canopies and trees. There are
sufficient outdoor age-appropriate toys and play equipment available on the playground. There is a climbing
structure for preschool children ages 2-5. The toddlers will not be using climbing structure. The infant outdoor playground area measured at 311.91 square feet which is insufficient to accommodate the requested
capacity. A waiver will be requested for a staggered schedule to accommodate capacity requested. LPA
viewed adequate cushioning in fall zones of swings provided by sand. Drinking water is available via children
will have own water bottles. LPA observed all hazardous items on the playground to be inaccessible to
children. Applicant Ms. Casablanca was reminded that any changes to the facility must be reported to and
approved by Community Care Licensing. (Continue to page 3)

1. approved waivers
2. a four foot sound resistant wall to encompass the crib area, picture is ok to be submitted.
3. remove of white fence in infant yard, picture is ok to be submitted.

side of the main door for 30 days. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the facility
