25 | Licensing Program Analysts (LPAS) P Rivas and R. Castanon met with Director/applicant Ms. Casablanca for the purpose of conducting a case management visit to add an infant component for 8 infants 6 weeks to 18 months in room infants(rm8), 11 Toddler option ages 18 months to 36 months in room 1 (toddler room); 71 preschool children ages 36 months to 5 years in rooms 2, 3,4,5,6,and 7. The hours of operation will be
Monday to Friday 7:00am to 6:00pm.
There were a total of 9 teachers and 56 children . All staff are fingerprint cleared.
All indoor and outdoor activity space utilized for the children was inspected today. LPA informed Ms.
Casablanca that staff are required to maintain direct visual supervision of the children at all times during
indoor and outdoor activities and to ensure exits to be secured. When medications are on site, Ms.
Casablanca stated that they will be kept in the Director's office. A fully equipped first aid kit is located in each
classroom. There is an operational carbon monoxide detector on site located the infant room and kitchen. All
required licensing documents were observed posted in the main lobby. Children will be signed in and out at
front of building using Bright Wheel. Reports can be printed upon request from Community Care Licensing
(CCL) staff.
LPAs continued to tour the facility and measured all indoor and outdoor activity space. Total indoor activity
space measured at 3167.42, sq feet which is sufficient to accommodate the requested capacity of 90
Children. LPA observed all indoor activity space to be complete with safe, age-appropriate furniture and
equipment, including tables, chairs, cubbies, napping cots/mats, bookshelves, and other activity supplies for
the children. Drinking water is available in the classrooms water dispensers in kitchen and infant rooms and
own water bottles. LPA observed all hazardous items to be inaccessible to children. There are no bodies of
water or weapons on the property. No smoking is allowed. (Continue to page 2) |
