LPA observed a total of 11 sinks, 9 toilets, and 4 Urinals available for children’s use. These are sufficient to accommodate the requested capacity of 100 children.
There are two separate staff restrooms equipped with 3 toilets and 3 sinks. The isolation area for children who are ill will be the health office in building 5, with a staff restroom directly across with 1 toilet and 1 sink.
ON-SITE FOOD PREPARATION: The facility provided breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack. The meals are prepared off-site at a local school district facility.
OUTDOOR INSPECTION: The facility currently has a fully fenced playground area. Chain-link fencing is at least 4 feet high. The total square footage for all the outdoor activity spaces is 9,936 square feet, which is sufficient to accommodate the requested capacity. Shade is provided via trees and building overhang. There are sufficient age-appropriate outdoor toys and play equipment available, but they were stored in a separate area. Drinking water is available via a water dispenser and children’s own water bottles. LPA observed that all hazardous items on the playground were inaccessible to children.
LEAD TESTING: Drinking water is available via children's own water bottles, which can be refilled in the refillable station. For child care center licenses issued after July 1, 2022, the licensee shall test their water for lead within 180 days of licensure pursuant to Written Directives section 101700 (PIN 21-21.1- CCP). The facility updated the lead testing for water on 7/28/2025, but the completed lead testing results were not provided. The School Readiness/Child Development Coordinator, Estrada, Susan, stated will submit the completed lead testing results to the LPA.
CRIMINAL RECORD CLEARANCE: The School Readiness/Child Development Coordinator, Estrada, Susan was reminded that all adults 18 and over responsible for administration or direct supervision of staff, persons who provides care and supervision to children, and staff who have contact with children, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
