25 | On Thursday May 2, 2024, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Lea Habtom arrived at Sterling Montessori to open a complaint. A case management inspection was created to address the deficiencies observed by LPA. At the time of arrival, there was 13 preschool children being supervised by 1 staff (S1) in the playground. LPA also interviewed staff at the playground. A few minutes after LPA took a census another staff member (S2) arrived to assist.
LPA observed a child (C1) with the group of preschool children that looked fairly young. LPA reviewed children files and verified that C1 is 20 months old. This preschool program does not have a toddler option therefore the child (C1) is to young to attend the program for preschool children that begins at 24 months.

Another group of 11 preschool children arrived from a walking field trip with 2 staff. The total census is 29 preschool children being supervised by 5 staff.
All staff have fingerprint clearances and associations. This report was reviewed with director/owner, Paolo Sarmiento.
