32 | PRESCHOOL COMPONENT:
Rooms 2 and 3 measure for a total of (2188.11 sqft) designated for preschoolers. This square footage will accommodate the requested capacity for 52 preschoolers. During today's visit, LPA Manabat observed a total of four sinks and four toilets available for use.
LPA observed a sufficient amount of equipment, toys, tables, chairs, cubbies, and napping cots. There is a first aid kit in each of the classrooms. Medications will be stored in the office in a locked box. LPA observed cleaning disinfectants are appropriately stored and inaccessible to children. Applicant stated there are no poisons or firearms on the premises.
OUTDOOR ACTIVITY SPACE:
There are two outdoor areas on the property. The smaller outdoor area, Yard 2, will be designated for the infant component and Yard 1 will be utilized by the preschool children. The Applicant is aware that Yard 1 measured for 3,352 square feet and will not accommodate the requested capacity of 52 preschoolers. LPA Manabat stated that the applicant would need to submit a waiver request for insufficient outdoor space.
Additionally, Yard 1, designated for infants, measures for a total of 366.27 sqft. This will not accommodate the requested capacity of 20 infant children. The applicant is requesting for the indoor multipurpose room, previously included in the preschool component's square footage, to be used and included in the infant outdoor square footage. LPA Manabat has confirmed that the removal of this area from the preschool component will not affect the preschool capacity and that there is sufficient indoor space for the requested capacity of 52 preschool children.
