On July 11, 2024 Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Elyse Jones an taityana Benson arrived at the facility to deliver findings regarding the above allegation. During the investigation, LPA toured the facility, took census, conducted interviews, and collected documentation.

On May 23, 2024, a complaint was received alleging staff did not prevent a daycare child from being bullied while in care and staff did not prevent a daycare child from being inappropriately grabbed by another daycare child. It was noted, on March 23, 2024 an outside agency received a request to change services due to the child being bullied, continuously hurt and another child repeatedly grabbed his/her private parts. During interviews with several pertinent parties, none of the information disclosed corroborated the above allegations. The facility reported there is one known incident involving the child where another child walked into the restroom while the child was in there.

Through the facility’s investigation it was revealed the child who walked into the restroom did knock but did not hear a response from the child inside which prompted the child on the outside to walk in but immediately stopped up on noticing the child in the restroom. During the course of the investigation the Department received conflicting statements from pertinent parties. Furthermore, the Department did not receive any Incident Reports from the facility, medical documentation, or photographs of the reported injuries.

This agency has investigated the complaint regarding the above allegation. Based on the interviews conducted with pertinent parties the Department is unable to determine whether the child was bullied and touched inappropriately or not, the allegations are UNSUBSTANTIATED. A finding of unsubstantiated means, although the allegations may have happened, or are valid, there is not a preponderance of the evidence to prove the allegations occurred.

No deficiencies cited during this inspection.

A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted on, or immediately adjacent to, the interior side of the main door for 30 days.

Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100.
