(1) A required – 1 year inspection is being conducted as part of a compliance review. At 10:45 Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs), Ana Noble and Sumayya Habeebulla, toured the school-age center, inside and out. The following was observed: LPAs met with Ashley Mejia, Lead Teacher in charge, due to Center Director being on vacation. At time of arrival there were no children present however children arrived shortly after at 11:30 am. LPAs observed all the children wearing mask through out the visit.
· A review of the staff records and a sampling children's records were conducted as part of this evaluation.
· The licensee is asked to update the following documents, if applicable, and submit to licensing within 30 days:
1. LIC 500 Personnel Report
2. LIC 610 Emergency & Disaster Plan
3. Parent Handbook/ Program Curriculum/Admission policies and procedures/ fee schedule (only if changes have been made)
4. LIC 309 Administrative Organization (only if changes have been made)
5. LIC 308 Designation of Administrative Responsibility (only if changes have been made)

· Ratios were met during this inspection
· Appropriate supervision was provided during this inspection
· Classrooms are equipped with age appropriate furniture and equipment in good condition
· Classrooms are clean and free of hazards
· No weapons stored at the facility
· There are no bodies of water present. All wading pools or similar product must be emptied immediately after use and stored in an upright position.
· Medications are stored where inaccessible to children-Currently no medication are being stored at the facility.
· Hazards are stored where inaccessible to children which include: disinfectants, cleaning solutions and other items that are dangerous to children
· All floors shall be clean and safe
· Toxins are locked
· Bathrooms were observed to be safe, sanitary and in operating condition
· Playgrounds are enclosed by appropriate fences and free of hazards
· Outdoor activity areas are supplied with age and size appropriate equipment in good condition
· Food preparation area is clean and free of vermin
· Food is stored appropriately and protected from contamination
· All storage containers for solid waste, including moveable bins shall have tight-fitting covers that are kept on, and in good repair
· Uncontaminated drinking water shall be readily available both indoors and out and is provided by water dispenser with disposable cups.
· The areas around or under high climbing equipment, swings, slides, and similar equipment shall be cushioned with material that absorbs a fall.
· Menus shall be posted at least one week in advance in a place visible by the child’s authorized representative, dated and kept on file for 30 days, and made available upon request.
· Sign in/Sign out record was reviewed and meets regulation requirements
· A Staff member is present with current Pediatric CPR/First Aid which expires on 03/2019
· Opening and closing staff member’s CPR/First Aid expires on 3/2019

· A review of staff records on 9/10/2021 indicates that all facility staff or other individuals who require caregiver background checks have received criminal record and child abuse index clearances or exemptions.

vAB2960 – Child care and development services, online portal – Effective June 20, 2022 - This bill requires the State Superintendent of Public Instruction (SSPI), within the California Department of Education (CDE), to develop and post on CDE's website a comprehensive child care and development services online portal for families and providers by June 30, 2022. Further, the bill would require the SSPI to submit a report to the Legislature by January 1, 2021, proposing plans for enhancements to the online portal and inclusive of a comprehensive implementation plan, based on recommendations from the workgroup.

An exit interview was conducted and during the interview, the Lead Teacher, Ashley Mejia confirmed that there are no Registered Sex Offenders living in the facility and/or using the facility address for their mailing address.

Personnel Requirements: At least one staff member who is trained in pediatric cardiopulmonary resuscitation and pediatric first aid pursuant to Health and Safety Code Section 1596.866 shall be present when children are at the child care center or offsite for center activities. Ms. Mejia, Lead Teacher agrees to have Ms. Asmar, renew first aid and CPR and submit a current certificate training to the Department by 9/30/2021.
