25 | On July 7 2023 at 08:58 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Courtnee Peebles arrived at the facility to conduct an capacity increase inspection. LPA conducted an annual inspection on 05/03/2023. LPA toured the facility, inside and out, and the following was observed and/or discussed:
· Normal days and hours of operation are: Monday through Friday 6:00AM to 4:00PM
· Off-limit areas include: Backyard and entire second floor
· The facility is operating within the licensed capacity and appropriate ratios with licensee present and four children
· Appropriate fire extinguisher, smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector present and were tested by the Licensee during this inspection.
· Resident and all adults who require caregiver background checks have received all required clearances and/or exemptions.
Licensee has applied for a capacity increase. A fire clearance was needed and the fire department came to conduct an inspection. Licensee’s first fire inspection did not clear due to the alarm sound being too low. Licensee has made all necessary changes and has since passed the fire inspection. Licensee has been granted for a large capacity family childcare home of fourteen. LPA Peebles confirmed and observed new alarm system. A new license with capacity increase will be granted to licensee Catalina Espino.
An exit interview was conducted, and this report was reviewed with the licensee Catalina Espino.
A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. |
