On June 14, 2024, at 09:46 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Courtnee Peebles arrived unannounced to CRAYON RANCH CHILD CARE CENTER (CCC) and met with director, Brittney Marnell to discuss the investigative finding of the allegation listed above. On June 14, 2024, at 09:46 AM, LPA conducted a tour and census of the CCC. During the investigation, LPA conducted confidential interviews with six staff (D, S1, S2, S3, S4, S5) and obtained documents pertinent to the investigation.

On May 22, 2024, a complaint was received with allegations stating, Unqualified staff providing care to day care children. Six of six interviews revealed that there has recently been a change in ownership, due to the change the new owners have thoroughly gone through all files to ensure that all staff are qualified for which the position they have applied for. Furthermore, LPA has reviewed infant staffs files and have confirmed staff are educationally qualified for the positions they currently maintain. Based on record review and interviews all staff in the infant room are qualified to be present in the infant room.

Based on confidential interviews conducted and record review during the investigation although these allegations could have happened there is not enough evidence to corroborate the allegations, Unqualified staff providing care to day care children. Therefore, the above allegations are unsubstantiated. A notice of site visit was provided and must remain posted for 30 days. A copy of this report and appeal rights were given and explained to Director Brittney Marnell.
