25 | On June 20, 2023 at 8:52 am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jessica Rubio arrived at the facility to conduct an annual inspection as part of a compliance review. LPA met with licensee Katherine Rowland. LPA toured the facility, inside and out, records were reviewed, and the following was observed and/or discussed:
· Normal days and hours of operation are: Monday through Friday 7:30 am – 5:30 pm
· Off-limit areas include: Two bedrooms, office and garage.
· The facility is operating within the licensed capacity and appropriate ratios. LPA observed six children in care with licensee providing care.
· Appropriate supervision provided during this inspection
· A working telephone is present and the current number is on file
· Appropriate fire extinguisher, smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector present and were tested by the Licensee during this inspection.
· Fireplace is properly screened to prevent access by children
· All hazardous items are stored inaccessible to children
· Weapons are not present as stated by licensee Katherine Rowland. Licensee understands all guns, weapons and ammunition must be key locked separately and made inaccessible per Title 22 Regulations
· Clean, safe and age appropriate toys
· Current roster on file
· Facility Sketch, Emergency Disaster Plan and Notification of Parent’s Rights poster are posted
· Documentation of fire and disaster drills were not on file. Licensee stated she conducts disaster drills but is not documenting them. LPA issued technical violation.
